Having spent the prime of his life in prison for a murder committed to avenge his father, Modan finally returns home. Modan’s brother has prospered in his absence, which leads to animosity between the brothers and compels him to rebuild his life with his mother. He shifts into a decrepit home with his mother and marries a woman who has a child from a previous marriage. However, despite Modan’s attempts at putting the past behind him, his suppressed anger manifests itself in renewed violence.

Gurvinder Singh
Gurvinder Singh is an alumnus of the Film & Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune. He has directed four features: Anhey Ghorhey Da Daan (2011), Chauthi Koot (2015), Khanaur (2019) and Adh Chanani Raat (2022). His films have won critical acclaim and screened at international film festivals, including Cannes, Venice, Busan, Rotterdam, Singapore and Fukuoka.
Accolades for his work include several National Film Awards, the Golden Peacock at IFFI, Goa, and the Golden Gateway at Mumbai Film Festival, as well as prizes at Abu Dhabi Film Festival, Belgrade Film Festival, and Singapore Film Festival. He has taught at various film institutes, including Film & Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune; the Satyajit Ray Film & Television Institute (SRFTI), Kolkata; and the National Institute of Design (NID).
