Across the breadth of the Himalaya, from Ladakh to Arunachal Pradesh, including Nepal and Bhutan, a cinematic churning is becoming apparent as a new generation of filmmakers emerges, determined to tell their stories. Mining their traditions and folklore for guidance, confronting the changes that threaten the fragile balance of their lives, and training their lens on deeply personal stories, these young filmmakers are forging a new path and bringing their films onto the international stage.
