In this innovative and trailblazing documentary, Director Rasmussen tells the true story of his close friend, Amin, an Afghan refugee who shares his experiences for the first time on film. Made with a blend of animation and archive footage, Flee unfolds like a thriller with genuine moments of suspense and fear as we follow Amin from war-torn Kabul to his new life in Denmark where he can live openly and without fear as a gay man.
The film is narrated by British-Pakistani actor and rapper Riz Ahmed.
