Dasru and Vaano lead an anonymous life as migrant labourers on a Mumbai construction site with their infant daughter, Joram. The family’s world collides with Karma, a female tribal leader from Jharkhand, who lost her only son to rebel militants over a land deal he was trying to negotiate. Facing a sudden tragedy, Dasru flees with Joram to the distant forest, seeking answers and safety. In pursuit is Ratnakar, a Mumbai cop, torn between duty, systemic oppression, and his realisation of being an outsider in the ruthless quest for “development at any cost.” Ratnakar transitions from pursuer to a reluctant witness in a brutal endgame threatening Dasru’s survival. Yet, a father’s desperation to protect his daughter drives him to extreme measures.
