Set in the crumbling city of Kolkata, Manikbabur Megh traces the story of Manik, a loner by nature and asocial by choice. Manik lives with his ailing father, who he cares for as part of his daily routine. His life is uneventful and he keeps himself busy tending to his plants, feeding stray animals, the spider, the ants and the house lizard. Following his father’s death, Manik’s world is turned upside down. He is given a month to vacate the house. In the midst of this upheaval, he meets a cloud whom he initially mistakes for a stalker. A unique love story unfolds – that between a cloud and a man. This surreal romance pushes Manik into a journey of faith, betrayal, belief, and warmth.
