THE SILENCE OF THE MOLE | EL SILENCIO DEL TOPO

Poster - THE SILENCE OF THE MOLE | EL SILENCIO DEL TOPO

Throughout the 1970s, the journalist Elías Barahona, a.k.a. The Mole, infiltrated the heart of one of the most repressive governments in Guatemala. Leading a dangerous double life, he provided crucial information to the underground resistance that sought to overthrow the military dictatorship. In seeking to uncover the story of this secretive and unique individual, The Silence of the Mole captures the moments when revelations from the past probe the cracks in the walls of silence that still surround this country’s hidden history.
